Shifting to another Job

01 Jul

Everyone could shift to another job.  In fact, this is happening all the time and this started when global financial crisis started.  Those that had been laid off from work are looking for job opportunities in any field they think their skill is qualified.  The only problem here is that there already too many applicants in any job vacancy today.

One of the field where an employee shift to another job are those in the teaching field.  Teachers are shifting to another job not only for personal reasons but most importantly, the development when it comes to professional growth is somewhat very slow and this includes the remuneration.  Well, everyone is looking for a greener pasture and I am you will also shift to another job if you will be given opportunities having good benefits.

A teacher, on the other hand, could easily shift to another job opportunities because of their skills which lies within the management section and since most of the schools did not hire addition faculty for their school, some of those in the part time teaching have shifted to another job opportunities and most them were positioned within the management and secretarial works.

So, if you have rival teachers in your application, unles, you are fully equiped with skills needed for the job, that opportunity will surely be grabed by one of those teachers applicants.

Other Employment Opportunities for Teachers

24 Jun

It is not only those inline with teaching jobs a teacher needs to apply.  There are other jobs where a teacher is fully qualified.  Though the competition is high because a teacher will be mingling with other careers, the has greater opportunities compared to other applicants because of his or her exemplary qualifications in performing such duties and responsibilities of the certain job.

To be a training officer is one good opportunity for teachers.  Though the teacher might have great experience in the field, any teacher can easily learn what are the things to be imparted on a group of employees in the business cycle.  Another opportunity for teachers is a job where a part of the duty is to scale applicant and or the performance of certain employee for commendations.

Though this type of applicant teacher needs to have an extra educational attainment inline with the business functions, a month of training to familiarize things is more than for a teacher to make such modules with regards to developments within the employee relationships.  This is infact one of the factors to make workers in the production line to become more productive.

teachers are trained to motivate learners and workers need to have further education too for the benefit of the company and the business itself.  Though some other fields of discipline could perform this task, a teacher is the only one who could perform such duties.

So, this is just an example of oppotunities for teachers in the business sector.  Browse over those companies with websites and search opporutinities youu are the only one capable of.  These companies are actually looking for teachers to fill up such vacancies.

Employer Interview Question

10 Jun

Employer interview question vary from what type of job you are applying.  Since this blog is focused teachers looking for job, I would like to concentrate more on how teachers should answer their employer interview question and this will be the principal or the HR personnel in charge on screening additional faculties.

Every applicant teacher should be aware not only in the preparation of a possible teaching demonstration, but also to answer all the employer interview questions that will arise during the interview.  One of the interview question to be asked will be about a situation of a teacher and the student(s). Though most of the students’ problem should be treated first by the teacher, the employer might ask how the teacher will pacify or solve the problems first.  You should prepare on how to answer this type of interview question.

The teacher, most of the time, is the shock absorber of student’s problem and will be there to give some pieces of advice too.  The employer is aware also of these students problems and the principal might asked you this interview question by providing situation.  As the teacher, you are required to talk to your students if there’s such thing that bothering the class or a student.  you should also prepare such situation and give the possible solution to these problems.

Answering this interview question might lead you to something else.  This is why before facing your interviewer or your employer for an interview, you should prepare yourself by answering possible employer interview questions that may arise.  There are many interview questions which you will be asked to answer.  While waiting for the interview date, you should practice answering this interview questions to familiarize your answers and to be confident in facing your employer to an interview.

How to Answer Interview Question

09 Jun

Thought there are other factors being considered for an applicant before he or she will be hired, the interview part is one factor which could be your stepping stone to be the lucky one.  The interview process may be stressful, but knowing some of the basics before and during the interview will at least give you further chance to handle such stress.  Everyone will be interviewed.  Whatever type of work you will be applying, there is no escaping the interview question.  For this, you need to know some of the basics on how to face your interviewer and how to answer interview questions.

First and foremost, you need to prepare your personality.  You should appear clean, decent, respectful and professional in front of the interviewer.  The interviewer should be impressed enough the way present yourself.  This includes your personal appearance particularly the choice of dress you will be wearing.  You will be facing one of the most powerful person of the institution, your attire should very neat where your shoes even shining and  if possible, there should be not even a single crumple to that nicely ironed clothe.  It may sound something else, but you don’t have a choice but to perfect this one.

Be smart enough in delivering your answers to such interview questions.  The interviewer will test your skills and will ask something that might be far or closely related to field and the job you are applying.  If you will be asked a question where you are not sure what is the the correct answer because of the implications that you need to choose between “yes” and “no”, you should answer both.  If you answered “yes”, you need to support it by giving your stand on the matter or otherwise.  Both answers should be given enough support.  The interviewer will then ask you again the same question and this, through giving info on both stands, you can now confirm whether it is a “yes” or “no.”

You should be composed enough while answering the questions.  Though you might not be giving the proper answers of every interview question, being confident and firm on your stand on such situations will be enough to emphasize that you are professional and doing your duties and responsibilities properly.  This is actually the points the interviewer wants to see from you.

Answering situational interview questions is tricky and being honest sometimes is not always the right answer.  It should be based on some point where the company takes its stand too.  Remember that you will be working for the company and not for yourself.  Though this might be changed along the way, you need to show to the interviewer your clear intentions why you should be the one to be chosen.

I would like emphasize that this is only an example view on how to answer interview questions.  The best thing can do for now is to try answering other possible questions that may arise during the interview process.

The Basic Interview Question for Teachers

03 Jun

The basic interview question is the first question the interviewer will ask you before asking follow ups and further question within the interview process.  This first question has a huge factor throughout interview process because in here lies what you are, who you are and the possible contributions you can extend to the benefits of the company you are applying.  For this reason, you need to know this basic question and the correct answers it requires so as to impress the interviewer.

“Introduce yourself” or “say something about yourself” is the first and basic question you may ask to answer.

This is obviously a very simple question and the answer is obviously simple too, but you should know that this question is the beginning of your journey with the interviewer within the interview process.  You might find this simple question easy to be answered because it is all about yourself and you clearly know what your life is and what had happened to you during the past years of your journey to life.  This question could also be your stepping stone to be one of those lucky applicants or not.

Most of the time when it comes to introducing your self to the interviewer(s), you need to start from the beginning and the best starting point of narrating your life experiences is by stating your name, address and how old you are.  Though you can always include the names, of your parents, I think, it is irrelevant because you will be sounding very elementary. You need to be selective of what to be spoken out or not.

This is the reason why you need to be careful in answering such question even you think that question is simple and it needs a simple answers too.  Answering this basic question should be done in the correct manner.  To get the perfect picture ot it, you need to practice answering such question.  Rehearsing in front of the mirror will be a good exercise for you to be able to select those experiences you need to say during the interview.

The interviewers are watching you and hearing every single word you utter.  You need to impress them by giving the proper answers to their questions.  Through you will always be right when introducing yourself, there are chances that you might be carried away and mention those things which don’t need mentioning. You can actually introduce your self the way these interviewers want them to hear.  Practice is the only way to make this introducing you scenario perfect.

Application Letter for Teachers

30 May

After posting such information about teachers, their job, and information on how and where they should apply, I decided to write an application letter for teachers.  Though this application letter comes in general view, you can always replace the information to suit you needs.

Your application letter is one of the documents which will trigger you to be included by the employer/school to be one of their applicants.  Your application letter is also a sales letter because you actually are selling yourself to your prospect employer/school/universities.

And, since you are a teacher, you should make your application letter perfect to stimulate the reader.  However, you should not make it overwhelming because the person who will read it is also a teacher and very much aware of the school, the students and activities involve in the school.

Application Letter for Teachers format should goes like this:

To:  Name of the Principal or the President of the school/university (if there’s any)  The name of the receiver of your application letter should be written in capital letters.  You should also write his or her position below the name.  The “position” should be leveled on the first letter of the name and not under the “To:” .  It is no longer need to write a “Subject:” of your application letter.

Sir: (or Madam:  )  You should know the gender to whom your application letter will be sent.  I am sure this info could be easily researched, but you can always write “Sir/Madam:” if you are not sure.

Depending on what introduction you feel comfortable to start with, but I would like to suggest you start from “I am”.  and it goes like this:

I am (your complete name), (don’t forget the comma) a graduate of Bachelor in Secondary Education major in (your major and minor).  If you are already an expert or seasoned teacher you should immediately write:  I have been teaching for a couple of years now in ( or you can mention the exact number of years you have been teaching) the school/ university with its present address at ( name of the school you taught) with its present address at (the address of the school).

That should be your introductory paragraph to be followed by the information how or where you’ve got the information that their school is in need of additional teachers.  Do not take this for granted because most of the time, schools, colleges and universities are using advertisement to get the perfect applicant for their additional faculty.  Since we usually search the job market for teachers over the internet, I would like to compose it giving emphasis that you found the advertisement through the internet.  And it goes like this:

I have been browsing the internet for job for teachers and come up with the website: (put the link or the url of the website here).  While browsing the posted teachers job over this website, I came across with the post stating you are in need of additional faculty to handle English related subjects (specify the subject here if there’s any).  Based on my experiences in the teaching field and my earned knowledge, I am confident to tell you, I am fit for the position, and so, I decided to apply.

I think that paragraph has more than enough information about their advertisement.  I would like to emphasize that you can make this part an introductory paragraph too.

I have attached my credentials and other pertinent documents for your reference and further evaluation.  Should you feel I am qualified for the position, I can be contacted at this number and email address.  It will be my honor to be one of your faculty.

Thank you very much.

Truly yours, (or Sincerely yours,)

You name in capital letters and your signature over it.

Again, this is only a sample application letter for teachers.  You can always modify it to suit exactly what you need.  Teachers, happy job hunting.

Sample Interview Questions for Teachers

17 May

Aside from the first question where you will be ask to introduce yourself, the second question will be depending on what particular event you mentioned the interviewer is interested to make a follow up question.  For example, you might be ask who or where did you knew that the school or their institution is in need of additional employee.  You should remember that the answer to this question might have been written in your application letter.  Most of the time, institutions wanted to know where you got the info because they are using such advertising packages for their additional manpower.  You need to put that info in your application letter or at least you should be frank enough to directly mention where you got the info.

The next question after this might be, “How do you think you can contribute to the benefits of this institution?

A very tough question, isn’t it?  Well, should at least give yourself a couple seconds pause and deep breath before answering this question.  Teachers, this the time you need to mention some of your experiences in the teaching job where you had done something which had given the school recognition from any of the regulating bodies.  A competition of the students where you were one of the coach will be a good answer to this.  By mentioning all those training you had let your previous student did in which the workshop had made them highly motivated for the competition, in which a factor for a participant to win.

You may want also to add that your years of experience in the teaching profession has harness you to become professional in your job in which a factor for an institution to become successful.  That being professional in your job will be more than enough contribution an employee will contribute to the school itself.

Another question and maybe the final one might go like this, “Why did you resign from your previous employment?”

I find this question as “tricky” and you need to be careful in answering this one.  Take note, do not ever mention about some hate (feeling) or any argument in your previous job which resulted you to resign and look for another teachers job.  Just focus on your self alone.  The safest answer to this will be focus (I think) on the compensation in congruent to professional growth.  lol.

Teachers, I will elaborate this one further on the next post.  Thanks for reading.

Interview Tips for Applicant Teachers

15 May

Every applicant will surely undergo interview whether by the general manager or the principal of the school if you are an applicant teacher.  This is the reason why I want to share my views about how to handle such interviews especially teachers applying for a job.

As mentioned in the previous post, the most common question the interviewer will ask is to tell something about your life.  You will be asked to introduce yourself including stating some of your personal background.  If you notice, the interviewer will be holding your resume while asking you the questions.  This means, the interviewer will be looking on the items you should be stating.

Though this is the common part of the interview for a teacher applicant or to any applicants, this is also one of the longest time/part where a teacher applicant will be speaking during the interview process.  Obviously, the interviewer wants you to mention some of the data written in your resume.  Though you might come to forget some of the details, you have all the chance to mention as long as you can create something to say it again.  Well, you can always mention: “oh, I almost forgot,” now estate what you need to say to include that forgotten event.

Since this will consume you a couple of minutes, I would like to suggest that you rehearse as if you are being interviewed.  Start for the beginning, where you from, your address and possible relocation if there’s any, and most importantly, mention your experiences in relation to your educational attainment in a chronological manner.  Though you can insert at any point during the interview, through rehearsals, you will be able to speak all those listed in your resume in a chronological way.

I guess this tips for teacher and for all those applicants who will be interviewed have been clearly written.  Just remember to be alert and conscious about all the things the interviewer will be saying.  For further tips for teacher, I would like to suggest you search for question for an interview for teachers.  I’ll be posting some interview tips for teachers later.  Thanks for reading.

Australia Teaching Job

20 Apr

Australia is one of the promising countries to have a job especially teachers.  The country really lacks some of the manpower not only in teaching job but also to other jobs which includes all fields particularly for college graduates of any course.

Though recently there’s a change on the migration scheme being implemented, the number of individuals awaiting to fill up those vacant positions are still abundant.  Teachers in particular did not change in the list of skilled individual who are being hired.

There are working VISA agencies with websites who are bragging they could provide any individual who wish to work in this country.  Some of these websites are third party websites who rely their processes on the working visas.

The only problem is that, you need to have the working visa before you could be able to have that teacher job you are looking.  Of course, its not only teachers but also all those who are interested to work in Australia.  Though there are lots of jobs awaiting for a skilled personnel, there are only few authentic agency who works not only for visa but also on the job placement the time you arrive in Australia.

Again, if you wish to apply for a working visa in Australia through the internet, research the authenticity of the website you will be accessing.  Better yet, post to yahoo answers and let others from Australia or those who migrated there on waht to be done for you to be able to go to Australia.
