What is career alternative especially for teachers?

Alternative careers or alternative jobs especially for teachers are those jobs suited particularly for teachers.  This emphasized that there are lots of jobs for teachers waiting for them.  It so happen that after the academics years, everyone not only those who just graduated for education wanted to practice their own acquired skill and knowledge.  Of course, this should be but the fact that not all of these teachers will have the chance to practice their careers after graduation, more of these teachers seek another career they think is suited for their qualifications.  As I keep stating in this blog, all of the degree holders have the capacity to handle such jobs, but teacher, on the other hand, have more opportunities compared to those of the other careers on the land.

The only problem is that newly graduate and seasoned teachers who wanted to shift for an alternative job do not know what particularly job they will be hunting and applying later.  This is because they are expecting the same salary grade or higher for that matter.  This should not be since this will be a new career, the salary grade will obviously lower compared to that of the teacher.  Of course, this also depends on the alternative job you will be looking.  The higher the salary grade, the more competition and number of applicants having different degree will be your rivals in such position.

Applying to become a police or firefighter, for example, needs you to undergo rigid training which later is a sure hit for higher salary grade for a teacher.  But choosing alternative jobs lower that the responsibilities of this type of job will begets a lower salary grade in return.

It is very important to consider alternative job for teachers.  A teacher and friend of mind shifted to another career but not outside the teaching field but still within the school.  Only the salary grade is lower because the teacher chooses t become an ordinary clerk in the school – handling all those paper works and other liaison matters pertaining to teachers account payable and receivables.

The job is obviously more easier compared to teaching but she no longer interested to teach.  The last we have the chance to speak with each other, she told me she is happier today because she has now more time with her family.  Isn’t that more worthy? She told and we parted ways.

Experience is the Best Teacher

I should have written “experience is the best teachers,” in relation to “jack of all trades.”  As a teacher, we were trained to be familiar with a ll the things around the the world.  Teaching young learners is not an easy task as you not be only familiar with all the things  that make the world go round, and this includes knowing the smallest thing that crawls, walk, run and even a thing sinking in a very shallow water.

“Jack of all trades” in a teacher view does not simply mean knowing all the things, but understanding how things had been created and react on certain stimulus.  The learner, theoretically as tabula rasa should be filled with thing favorable or unfavorable to their empty cup. Innately, the learner will discover the correct and possible action on such stimulus.

“jack of trades,” in relation to the knowledge of a teachers, is considered one of the very requirements in teaching the learners to evaluate the learning processes.  As a teacher, you should easily relate whatever situation will arise in the classroom in connection with the lesson being taught.  This is actually one of the innate skills every Filipino teacher imply in their ques to grab such teaching job in the world in the in the world wide web.

LOL, a fried of mine will laughed again when read this post.  You know what, he questions me every time on I reached the peak of being serious, then explicitly remark, “you really are a teacher and should not be working on the other field.   Afterwards, the another discussion will arise, another bottle of drinks will be bought, another discussion will arise until we will agree on certain thing.  “Just same old story, my friend wills ay at eh end before we everyone will go to sleep..

jack of all trades, master of none

“Jack of all trades, master of none” is a figure of speech used in reference to a person that is competent with many skills but is not necessarily outstanding in any particular one according to wikipedia.org.

On the lighter view of this type of person, he or she really knows something and surely can fix things in case of emergencies.  It is almost the same with first aid, that an immediate action should be done to prevent the wound from infections or other occurrences that will make the wounded suffer.

On the hand, persons with such abilities tend to have the capacity to live in a survival stage as they are equipped with basic knowledge on how to deal uncertainties that come along the way.  This is the reason why this figure of speech has become popular because of the things it emphasized.

Obviously, jack of all trades, master of none individuals had encountered lots of experiences in life.  They had learn to handle many things but doesn’t have the capacity to master it obviously because they lack the sufficient knowledge to master particular situations.  For this reason, we can also emphasized that “experience is the best teacher” as an obvious result that “jack of all trades, master of none” individuals have first hand experience of things and so they became familiar with it.

Technical skills like driving, woodworking, painting, drawing sketches and the likes could be easily learned through experiences and surely, this skills could honed up further if given the opportunity to have academic knowledge or formal training.  Only when a person gained outstanding performance on a particular situation will be entitled to a master.

In the world, there are lots of this type of persons and few of the people had mastered or proficient in terms of master  per se.  Who is better then, a person with a master or a person with multiple skills or can we say that a person with master is also a person with multiple skills?

Disadvantage on Local Job Search

There’s always a disadvantage on the part that you think you weighted and decided that it was the best move.  I happen to found on my local job search a job I am employed at the moment.  The good thing is that I just received my permanent appointment.  Mind you people, this is a government job and I am now a regular government employee.

I am a professional teacher and passed the Board Examination for Teachers, and I had the chance to practice my teaching career for almost 3  years.  During those days, I have seen my situation that it will take me 5 to 8 years before I will be hired as a regular government employee as teacher.  A friend of mine who is also a teacher took 12 years before she received his regular appointment.  In my present job (not a teacher), it took me only 1 year and half.  I guess you will do the same too, if given the opportunity.

Today, I am aiming for a higher position which I am qualified, but for the next supervisory position, I need to have a higher educational background.  Yes, I am planning to enroll for a Masters Degree.  Of course, I am not disregarding other opportunities outside my present job.  I am also targeting opportunities outside the government.  And so, again, I decided to take Master in Business Administration which my course is not in line with it.

I should be enrolling for this coming semester, but since my course is not inline with business administration, I was advised to take first the tool courses composed of 18 units.  This is equivalent for 1 loaded semester.  You see, I am late for the next promotion.

You might not agree with my views on this matter but I did not see this during my search for a local job.  I should have chosen a job inline with my course, but the opportunity is good and tempting and I grabbed it.  Well, “I am lucky,” you’ll say, yes, I am because am able to grab through local job search an opportunity that promises a lifetime benefit.

I view this a disadvantage on my part because my competitors are way ahead of me in the promotion, but I still consider my self lucky as I was hired again and became a regular government employee.

A Choice of a Lifetime

Its been a long time when I last posted in this blog.  I was so occupied with my present job.  No, I am no longer in the teaching field, yet the workload is almost the same as my present job which also consumes most of my precious time. But of course, i don’t have regrets as it compensate me, though a bit lower than teacher job, in the long run I am able to make it the same with the compensation of a teacher.  Yes, it sounds good, it really is one tough decision I’d been through.

Just like teaching job, my present job also offers a good opportunity in the future.  The future is actually the reason why everyone of us seek for better job and we need to look into it that the job offers security of tenure.  This, I have seen on my present job.  No regrets and I am enjoying it at the moment.  This is why I did not have the chance to post in a regular basis.

Well,I could not divulge it for now, but will later when I get that one challenging position which offer huge opportunity for me.  You might say how I saw such opportunity?  Luckily, the work is just walking distance from my home I know what is happening around the working as well as the workforce. Yes I have a good informant who helped me get the job.

I think I want to share with you my dear readers, do not stop from dreaming.  From there you will be able to see yourself ten years from now.  This will enlighten you more on the possible opportunities along the way. Your dreams then will tech you to wait, determined and persevere whatever the challenges that arises along the way.  Your dream will make you sacrifice a bit for sake of it.

You know, online is just here waiting for as to be a part of it, and we all have the chance to make it one of the best and profitable past time. Well, unless you have the power to make you own destiny, then its your choice. Just like what I did.  I have chosen a low earning job, but it offers a good compensation after 2 years and it has the possibility on my part to even topple the compensation of a master teacher.  Yes, I am dreaming of getting almost the top position after 10 years.

Going Abroad Through the Back Door

This is not going abroad illegally, but on legal basis. This back door I will discuss here is a legal way on how you will get your dream job abroad.   Yes, there is a legal back door way for you to migrate and work abroad.  But of course, only skilled personnel are the ones who can only use this back door. Yes, this is by availing the student visa program.

The only problem with this method is the expense that goes with it and time that will take to process all the documents needed.  The approximate time before you will have the student visa will be around 8 months to one year.  A long time for you to gamble on and there is always that fact that your application might not be approved.

There other ways for you to get a job abroad.  In fact, the demand continuous to grow and this demand had seen also by those people who wanted to offer their services as recruitment agencies.  These agencies can be of help, why not.  But you should search the authenticity of such agency first before availing their services.  You can also go directly to the embassies and inquire on how to go and work in their country.

In everything you do, make sure you are on the right and legal track.  Avoid shortcuts particularly in going abroad, choose the legal ways and not just crossing the border around back door entrances.

Highest Paying Jobs

Most of the time, students are giving aptitude test to measure the capability of the students on what particular career these student should pursue in college.  There instances where students seem to disagree of the aptitude test.  This enters a student to as the teacher for an advice of what career this student will pursue.

As teacher, we could not avoid to give these pieces of advice to our student and of course we weight situations before giving advice and opinions.  It is true that those high paying Jobs in the market today are those careers which are hard to achieve because of their academic requirements.

But of course, we could always say that medical related courses are high paying jobs yet the means in achieving the goal is hard which require time, money and effort.  Of course, this is only for those students who are in top ten and with good resource to finance the schooling.  This will be absurd for those students who don’t have such means to do so.

it is much better if we motivate the students to study so that they could be able avail such scholarship programs which then could be used to upgrade their statuses later, after college. That they will be able to have a high paying job if they will study hard today to come with high grades which will make them qualify for such course.

The “over 35,000 jobs” still appears on this blog

If you notice it, this appears on my blog and I am sure it appears also to other web pages which are targeting the same keywords.  Obviously, this is paid job posting catered the big G and I have seen this one since August of this year.

Well, this, of course vary on your location or country where you live.  The big G localizing the search engine shows they were successful of their plan of getting more and more publisher compared to the other network. This job site is an obvious example of website which have an idea or exact info about the available job over the world.  The only problem here is that not all their visitors have the capacity to apply for such job.

On the other hand, these job opportunities could be of help particularly those who just graduated from colleges and universities.  I’ve been eying for job for teachers and vacancies for teachers for quite sometime now and I have read an article too that vacancy for teachers was not that in demand anymore.

Anyways, just don’t forget to do your assignment first before applying to any of the job posted.  Take time to visit every possible links in the website to see how reliable are those jobs you want to apply.  And, most of all, don’t send a penny when applying for a job.  Anyone who is asking for payment will be subjected for further research. Use every resources like yahoo answers.  I am sure some over the internet will share their idea especially when it come to applying through the internet.
