Walk-in Teacher Applicant

There are lots of schools who are accepting applicant teachers to be included as one of their faculties.  Applying for a job for teachers abroad is not that easy especially if you don’t have the working visa which is one of the requirements for you to work abroad.

There are some countries in Asia where you can apply as a teacher, but the problem here is that you need to go in their country first to apply personally for the teaching job.  if you will be accepted, depending on the contract, the school will be the one to apply for your working visa.

The problem here is that you will wait for months before you will be given the working visa.  While you are teaching as tourist, you need to exit the country for tourist purposes so as your passport will be marked that you really are an authentic visitor of the country.

This scenario is not good at all because there are possibilities that you will be caught working without working visa.  Though the school you are teaching will help you provide such documents of your stay, the processing of working visa takes a long time.

In relation to applying for a teachers’ job as walk-in applicant, you will be hire for sure because these non-native English speaking countries really need teachers particularly English teachers.  Well, if you think you can handle the situation, then it is up to you.  After all, you will get that job for teachers you are looking.

In Thailand, for example, the days a tourist should stay while working, before was 1 month. You will need to will exit or go out of Thailand to renew you staying as tourist.  After a few months, this was changed into 15 days costing you 1000 bat in every exit.  That is amounting 2000 bat in a month.  Other expenses like transportation and hotel expenses are not included.

Teachers Working VISA

There are countries which require a teacher applicant to have his/her own working visa first before he/she can apply for what ever work is offered and this includes teachers looking for job.  We all know how important your working visa when it comes to working abroad because without it, you don’t have any chance of working abroad.

If you notice, there are websites based on the such country you want to apply for a job.  Most often that not, these websites are working for working visas too.  But you should be aware that only a registered or authentic government agency is required to process such visa.  Unless the website is owned by the government or government agency which is authorize to process visas then there will be no problem.

But the question is, there’s no such government agency websites created yet who are authorize to process working visa.  A website may be bragging that they could process you working visa, but the transactions to be done is not in any way within your reach and worst, you are required to pay first before your papers will processed. Though this is the normal transaction through websites, well, it is your prerogative to follow or not.

Before applying to any websites offering working visas, I would like to suggest you check your local visa processors first.  You know it is hard to just let go your money to person who shows you help especially if you are dealing that person through the internet.  Process your working visa in your country of origin, though it will cost you time and money, you will have the knowledge on how the processing is all about as well as the money you will spend.

So, teachers looking for job for teacher online, be aware of these things online.  I am sure, while you browse the internet for job for teachers or whatever jobs abroad you want to see, you will encounter these websites I am talking about.  Be aware, only few of these websites are authentic, and most of them are all thrid party websites, offering not only job for teachers, but all the jobs included in the job market database.

Teachers are Molders of Society

When the learner started to attend schooling, this is also the time he/she learn things about his/her self and the environment he/she is into.  From this point, the learner learns to adopt and determine the relationships of things and this will manifest at home by asking question to their parents.  This is often times happening because the students, at his young age, learned something in the school and the parents will be the first person he or she will ask about it.

Though the teacher will be explaining all the possible reasons for individual learners to adopt what is being taught inside the classroom, there is always that thing where a learner find it hard to digest what is being fed.  I would like to emphasize the word “feed” here because early learning stage of learning, young learners are taught through spoon feeding.

Though this is not being done throughout the day, they need to be fed for instructions and to be digest later by giving dynamic exercises which will motivate and stimulate them to react according to what the teacher wants his/her students to react.  This is actually one of the ways to determine if a particular learner is getting what is being discussed. From these examples and visual aids being presented to these young learners, they come up to determine things around them and later build their own point of views.

Every teacher is aware of the learning process in relation to the learning readiness of the learner.  They are all aware of the step by step instructions to make these young learners develop the personality later.  Thus, teachers are the molders of society.

Institutionalize Teachers

The personnel in-charge of hiring new teachers for the school is not a teacher himself and he/she has only a general view of the classroom situations and management is one of the problems in the educational system to hire the best teachers suited for a particular subject.  Teaching along is simple because all you need us to share all those knowledge you’ve accumulated through education and experiences, but this is not all, the teachers should know exactly the classroom situations in which this is being taken for granted.

The trial demonstration of teaching in which the audience are also member of the faculty if not the personnel himself should not be the only factor to be considered for a teacher seeking for a job to be hired.  Obviously, this demonstration is superficial in which it does not in any show the real classroom-teacher-student situation.  This is taken for granted for every educational institution which serve as basis for a teacher to hired or not.

A student may receive failing grades, but it doesn’t and should be necessary to put the blame on the teacher.  There are other factors to be considered too and there are lots of them.  Hopefully, this news will somehow trigger the educational system to upgrade that obsolete manner of hiring teachers.

The test known as the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is used to assess students’ standards in each state.

The union’s Steve Ryan says Education Queensland’s regional directors and principals have told teachers to deliver improved results in the tests or face redundancy.

“I think the Department of Education should leave the job of teaching to its teachers,” he said.

“Teachers are professionals, they know what they’ve got to do in their classes and they know what it is they’ve got to do to assist their students.”

Mr Ryan says the test is not an accurate measure of student standards and should not be used to judge teachers’ performance.

“The union believes that NAPLAN tests are not necessarily a valid test,” he said.

“Unfortunately a lot of store is being placed on their value which is, in our opinion, quite unnecessarily placed.”
